Funding secured for business supportThe West Yorkshire Local Broadband project has secured a significant amount of European funding (ERDF) to develop a business support programme to help firms exploit better broadband and ICT.
The West Yorkshire Broadband Business Support programme will be rolled out in the autumn of 2013 and will be targeting eligible SMES in West Yorkshire.
The business support programme is linked to the investment being made in enhancing the digital infrastructure of West Yorkshire, that is funded by BDUK (Broadband UK), local authorities (Bradford, Calderdale, Leeds and Wakefield) and EU funds (ERDF).
The digital infrastructure project will mean that many firms will for the first time have access to superfast broadband and therefore the business support programme is designed to exploit this opportunity as well as helping firms that already have access to enhanced broadband to make the most of it.
Further details about the business support programme will appear on this website.
