An exciting job opportunity! We are seeking to strengthen our project delivery team by recruiting an Economic Development Assistant (Broadband).

Superfast West Yorkshire & York aims to enhance both access to superfast broadband and its take-up in the sub-region for the benefit of local people and businesses.

The project is a partnership between West Yorkshire Combined Authority, West Yorkshire local authorities and the City of York Council. It works closely with the private sector and national government to provide better access to fibre broadband across West Yorkshire and York.

The post is offered on a fixed term basis for a period of up to one year with an extension possible subject to future funding. This is an excellent development opportunity for an individual with highly developed interpersonal skills to establish and maintain professional business relationships. It is envisaged that the post will be based in Leeds city centre.

For more information, please contact Sue Tuck, Economic Development Manager (Broadband) T: 0113 3787604 or E: susan.tuck@leeds.gov.uk

As this is a fixed term position, secondments from partner organisations would be welcomed. Please seek the approval of an appropriate senior manager before applying for the post.

Applications should be received no later than Monday, 30 April 2018 at 5pm. Please note that interviews will be scheduled for Wednesday, 9th May 2018. Applicants should ensure that they are available to attend an interview on this date. The Superfast West Yorkshire & York Project is part-funded by European Regional Development Fund.
