Government Grants to boost your broadband
Can I get a grant?
Grants (also known as 'vouchers') are available to Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) across West Yorkshire and Craven. It’s a grant, not a loan, so you don’t have to pay it back. The grant covers the cost associated with connecting to superfast broadband. Check your eligibility using the options above.
What details do I need to provide?
You can apply online above. It’s quick and easy and we will get a decision for you within 3 days. You’ll need the following information in order to complete the application process:
- Brief details about your business, to confirm you are an SME
- Your company registration number, or business rates number
- One quote from a registered supplier
- Brief details about your current internet connection
Why does my business need Superfast Broadband?
Superfast broadband can help your business to:
- Increase business efficiency and productivity,
- Reduce downtime,
- Access cloud computing, to save resources associated with in-house servers and IT infrastructure,
- Save money by accessing things like internet-based telephone systems and high quality video conferencing,
- Grow and access new markets,
- Future-proof your business with infrastructure that is ready for change.
Can I get a better deal by applying as a group, with neighbouring businesses?
Yes - it is possible to get a larger grant if you apply as a group of businesses. For example, you might all be together in one business park, industrial estate or multi-tenanted building. This also means you might see a reduction in your monthly charges.
You can apply as a group of businesses above. You need to nominate an ‘agent’ who firstly needs to click to get an agent reference number, then each individual business will need to apply (using the buttons above) and each will need to quote the agent reference number.
What does the grant pay for?
The grant covers the connection charge associated with upgrading to superfast broadband. It doesn’t cover the monthly charges.
(Your business will need to pay the VAT on the connection charge)
